There was a recall on a gearbox shaft that had a bung knocked up the end of it to make more oil flow radially onto the pinions - there should be a paperchase to show this has been done.
Check for fluid leaking from breather hole in your clutch cover. It will leak eventually but there is a kit to fix this.
Check for coolant leaking from the witness drilling behind the water pump. It will leak eventually but there is a kit to fix this too.
Check the pivot on your back brake isn't seized, I made a new 'top hat' bush for mine and lubed it.
I love the back brake, it's intentionally not very powerful.
Make sure you have the latest flaash, mine pulls very smoothly from 3.5k rpm. They don't like anything much below that and in my opinion, revs lower than that aren't very kind to your motor.

:yt:

If the front brake hose goes around the front of the fork stanchion and down the out side then it's been done ( originally it went down the inside between the stanchion and the mudguard - that's when it caused problems ).

Whatever you do do not try to use the engine like you would an X1, it really does like to be revved ! The vibes will get less as the miles go on - my R is now much better at 7,000 miles than it was when new - although the update flashes help a lot ...

Oh and welcome !

We're probably your closest dealer, SW, not much more than an hour away.........a bit less once you've finished running in ;) PM me your VIN No and I'll see if the system says you have anything outstanding.

Steve
