If you're feeling rich ...

Bit too pricey for me though - it would be cheaper to bring one in from the States I would have thought !

A nice little field trip for someone; fly into NY, Greyhound up to Brockton MA, a 200 mile ride back to NY on I95, put the bike on a boat and then fly back and meet it this side. :D

Almost every tuber you will see on the market in the States wants a shock, and most of the pre-99 models have the original swingarm. Although recalls are done, most leave it there, and do not update the bikes much more. In short, not many are "sorted." On the up side, the US bikes have US gearing ;)

Also, sometimes, "sorted" for one is "botched" for another.

Nice bike.

It's funny how everyone wants one because they're the iconic Buell but no-one wants to pay the money. These bikes will only go one way and the higher the better lOl

Well, if anyone wants to go on a Buell-buying US holiday, there are some good bikes to be had, and as nobody here seems to be buying except mutant ninja chopper zombies, it would be nice to see them stay intact and go to the UK for a proper thrashing!
1995 Pearl Yellow S2, 33k miles, Baltimore: $2700 ONO
1995 Red Snap S2, 15k miles, Georgia: $2750 ONO
1996 Canyon Red S2, 10k miles, Kentucky: $2500 ONO
A good amount of S1, 2 and 3's around... also plenty of X1's and M2's.

Happy to point you the way :D

Fuck I95, bimble back down the Boston Post Road (Route 1) and stop at Sal's in Mamaroneck for a couple of the best slices of Pizza anywhere. ;)

I bought my S1 in New York state (Rochester) 7 years ago and as stated before it already had the U.S. gearing. All the recalls were done, including a brand new shock and all I had to do for the S.V.A. was change the headlight glass and fit an M2 rear lens (original is all red). Even better now, there will be no S.V.A. requirement, cause they are all over 10 years old now.
