I must disagree. The HD battery is pretty good and usually long-lived.
Odyssey batteries are a quality item, but dispite what their blub might say, don't have enough cold cranking for an engine which is basically two buckets whizzing up and down a sewage pipe.
If HD products aren't your bag (let's face it, who want's to put money in HD's pockets nowadays) you should've got a Yuasa.

When I replaced the 8yr battery on my M2, I seem to remember it being a rebadged Yuasa. Have to agree with TTT, HD/Buell batteries are the best I've ever come across

My HD battery is over 11 years old and still going strong.
