 Post subject: Hi from Switzerland
PostPosted: 24 Nov 2009 09:35
I 'd like to introduce myself. I am living in Switzerland and i actually ride a XB 12S 2006.
I am 49 years old and i am riding motorcycles since 1978, starting with 1 cylinder Yamahas, DT 250, XT500, and 2 SRX 600.
I am on the road with Buells since 2 1/2 years, my first XB 12S was crashed a few weeks ago, when i was shot by a Seat Ibiza. But i catched a nearly brandnew 2006 with only 3300 km on odometer. So i am very happy again riding the "emotional best bike in the world".

for pictures look at my web album http://gallery.me.com/luge#100203&bgcolor=black&view=grid

Regards from Switzerland

( imho the best motorcycle country in the world... best roads, best curves, best helicopter rescue service )

I see an Aprilia Dorsoduro in the background, another lovely bike. I sold my Dorsoduro this summer in favour of a Triumph Street Triple R and the 1125CR

Sorry, the dorsoduro is not mine. The picture was taken at the garage of the former owner of my buell. This guy owns arround 16 motorcycles, nearly half of the actual ducati and aprilia range and 2 buells ( now only one :D ).

1 person, 16 bikes, now you know why my 2006 XB has only 3300km (2000 miles) on the odometer.

Hi Luge! Welcome!

Thankfully I can't say about that rescue service, but your roads are good and curves too. Could be even the best... ;) Loved it this summer when I did this...

More pics please! :D

@JinX:

nice and hard trip...u took the railway down to bonndorf?
by bike guess its the hardest and boringst part at all.
next time u need to to that way through suisse.....
(one stop at luge's or my place with cool german beer and BBQ;
u'll find me near waypoint F and luge near waypoint b):

possible next way through central suisse

there u'll ride thru the hearth of the founders of the suisse.

A tube frame in hinwil? That's nice. I thought buell are rare guys. I Hope this Winter will not last very longer. We have arround 20 cm snow today. But my bike is ready to ride. Are you a member of buellowners.ch? They arange small tours every 2 weeks in season. And there are also tubeframers. Regards, lutz.

Thanks for the envite! I'd love to visit.

We drove through Germany in one day. Pain in the ass, literally, but fast and easy. After that we could chill out in the warmth of Villmergen for two days. Went to luzern too. You can read it all here. Next summer I might head back to Scotland or Iceland...
