Yes indeed. I swapped my immaculate Fizzy for 6 boxes of bits when I was 17. My Dad worked at Dennis Bros. in Guildford, so the tank and battery cover got a nice fresh coat of Fire Engine Red.

The trim shop also recovered the seat like new.
I spent many a happy hour on the train/underground getting to Gander and Gray to collect parts (I only had a photocopy of a parts list, no manual) and the first time I built the engine, I omitted the seal in the primary case that gave the big end it's oil pressure.

In my defence, there was a black smudge on the exploded view of the engine on my A4 copy, so I missed it.
It expired on the A31 near Alton as I was on my way to the Autojumble at Beaulieu and I had to put it on the train (after a 4 mile push) to get home.
The second build went much smoother and I covered a lot of miles on it, before I bought a '69 Bonnie with some redundancy money.
