That was my first visit to the dealer - being told a pair of seals are 40 quid!
"Yeh, Welcome to the world of Harley" he say's, as I turn around and walk out!
Why? OK they are double lippped, but come on - even a pair for my Duke cost less than a tenner. Other than buying from Oz (£15) - any suggestions where from at a real price?
Also planning on perhaps fitting some Hyperpro progressive springs if anyones got a view on these I'd be grateful for any feedback.

If you can get the old seals out without damage or distortion then measure them and consult a bearing/seal catalogue.

I put hyperpro springs in my Scg when I changed the oil at 10k. A definite improvement as the dive was reduced when braking and the ride was much better.

Seals are 16.18 each incl. vat.
There's a generic number printed on the seal but in my experience, anything other than a genuine WP seal will not last long before it leaks again.
You'll also need the ret. rings and spacers and probably the DU bushings......which are also very expensive.
Probably cheaper to search for a set of X1 forks which are a direct replacement and far superior to the WP's.....and much cheaper to overhaul

OK, so I take it they don't use the same part you may be able to buy elsewhere for a fraction of the cost?
That being the case, any recommendations on a Friendly dealer that would be willing to
post parts to either UK or France?
And what sort of cost are the other items mentioned?
I was also thinking about some Hyperpro springs, but you think maybe the X1 fork is a better idea?
Just done some testing today and I have to say I thought firming things up on the settings would improve the handling - but it's done the opposite!
And while I'm at it any advice on what Front Head stand to buy?!

Actually I order loads of stuff over the net for delivery both to UK and France.
I have only had a couple of problems,(both to the UK address) and they were with the same company. Needless to say I don't deal with them anymore.
Because of my remote location here, I have to rely on having stuff shipped.
I am lucky to have top people for my Ducati parts at Snell, even shipping the smallest order to me is not a problem - totally professional.
Anyway, I'm searching..........
