Hello, and thanks for the admission.
I've recently purchased a 2003 XB9R Firebolt. I didn't really mean to, but I was pondering a sport bike, and started surfing. Never really considered a Buell before. Once I did, I found there were very few available in the province of BC. My interest took me many places. One of them was here. I liked what I read.
While there were only 4/5 Buells available (provincially) one was several houses down, and across the alley, from where I've lived for 20+ years. He was third generation. We had never met. Good fences.
He impressed me as being a straight shooter. Found out he's law enforcement.
I didn't even test drive it. Just pushed it home. I would never recommend doing that -- but things just seemed "right'. No regret's.
I'm not an accomplished rider, and I'm no iron butt either. There's more than enough pucker factor to keep me happy. I'm
very happy with the bike. (10K miles, Hawk, K&Ns, lowered pegs, upgraded lights, larger scoops, Bridgestones, aftermarket levers, and remapped for mod's & performance -- all stock parts/the tiny bags/rear stand included)
I enjoy messing with posters that say Buells are an entry level HD. I can't speak for the moco. I entered the 2 wheel scene on a 95" chopper. I live in the mountains. The chopper sits fallow.
I've moved up to a Buell.
