hiya guys.i,m craig from sunny brum.i,m literally a day or two from buell ownership.but I,m hoping(this is where you guys come in)to put my mind at rest before I hand over my hard earned Wonga.heres my problem...I currently run a hayabusa.which I garage during the dark months.im after something that will suit my winter commute, something fun, something that,ll hold the winter roads well.wont conk out when used in the worst of wet weather.and something that wont fall to bits.the bike I,m looking at is a 07 Ulysses with 16k,micron serpent.2 owners.but I,m also viewing a r1150gs(I had the 1100.and to this day was probably the best bike I,ve ever owned).come on guys what do you think.

Have you ridden a Buell? If not, then do so, before you buy. Buells are very individual and they don't suit everyone. That will make your choice a lot easier. It's like Marmite really......

I love both of mine though... :yup:

If you want a ultra reliable winter hack Do not buy a buell. However if you want to fall in love with what can.....at times..... be a fickle beast, that will make you smile even on the coldest, lousy rides ever then but two........PS make sure their fetteled by :maz: Your only down the road and he is the BEST. :yup:

If you're serious about a Buell as winter hack, be prepared to watch it disolve before your very eyes......better to use the busa methinks
Buells are high maintanence money pits :)
