does anyone have one of the hideous plastic things to fit a 2002 model that they can bear to part with ?

i need it to get an ITV ( spanish MOT ) so i can import the bike.

it passed on everything else ( even though the brake light decided to pack up on the way to the test ! )

to clarify: its not the hugger that i need , but the bit that goes under the tail light to mount the numberplate and reflector.

( yes the ugly plastic bit that everyone throws away )

if i really have to i can make something that will fit in the space, but it wont look too much like the original bit - and it needs to.

i reckon if i start with a bit of flat ally plate it can be persuaded into the right shape using only straight line cuts and bends and a radiused curve to match the outer curve of the tyre.

it does only have to hold together long enough to get to and from a MOT station every 2 years.
