In all seriousness, I had an alloy tank made by the guru John (of Harris fame) and painted by a company called Born to be Wild. Absolutely amazing paint, except that it lifted under the aircraft filler within about two weeks. They never got to the bottom of it

I agree, I think mine would have to be polished to perfection and when not in use as a fuel holding device it would be hung on the wall for the Missus to do her hair in!

Some plastic tank Ducati,s do that when ethanol from the fuel eats into the paint/plastic.
