Just had another chat with the sprayer, he has recommended not lacquering the decals in to prevent bubbling, will this make any difference or do they still bugger up?

Mine has been done 4 times now, by dream machine and it still keeps bubbling, it's mainly only under the transfers and dream machine reckon it may work if they paint the decals.

I personally think the only fix is an Ali tank, so I eagerly await its arrival

Why not paint the name rather than use a sticker?

Mine only bubbles under the stickers. Note the new tanks had stickers as thick as a loaf of bread.

If yours bubbles elsewhere you are not going to fix the problem and you are doing the sprayer out of his livelihood...

Have been looking at raised metal stick on tank decals from hong kong, they look ok and I'd challenge any bubble to grin through one of those.
Think it's beyond the guy who painted mine to paint the buell logo!

Been to the place I get my decals from, they will do me a stencil, basically the leftovers from the actual decal! Gona have a word with the sprayer to check he is happy to paint them in!
Watch this space for the results!

Hello from the US.
Don't feel bad, our tanks bubble over here, too.
Has a price been worked out for the tanks? My S1 is covered with blisters and primer patches.
