mmm Nice ..and so close ... :( but alas it is stew deer....

i've found this in our local freeads...BUELL-Ulysses xb12x, 2007 reg, black, less than 2000 mile, was cat d, light cosmetic damage, repaired, excellent condition. £3950...

the old Cat d thing makes me shudder slightly but then i have no knowledge of motorcycle insurance catagories....

Is it anyone on here?? ..it's in the East mids ADMAG.

is a cat d bad? ...light cosmetic but un-economical repair due to cost the insurers bureau states

Cat d is about as bad as it gets. I would have said £2500 was a more realistic value, insurance will be higher, you will struggle to sell it on, and it will make your bottom look big.

Lucky you nob!

Cat D is cosmetic and the lowest it can be. Cat C is repairable with structural damage. Cat B & A I don't think can be made roadworthy again. Someone can correct me on that, but Cat D is as good as it gets.

ps. Asda

You'll struggle to sell a written off bike, and sometimes to insure it.

Lucky SPOOK said it ..not me :)

I could'nt say that Spook, im too new on here...but i agree with the sentiment

I know what your saying, and although i would probably be running it til it was dust, i still have reservations about it as i'm no bike expert, albeit a capable diy home mech tech bodge artiste, people are often sparse with the truth and unless documented by pics how do i know what really was repaired...very untrusting of me i know...

Anyhow my wanted ad has received a good response via pm and hopefully with in the next few days should be able to make a purchase.

Asda

Cat A and B have to be crushed.
Cat C,D,F and Theft are all insurance right offs, and you can trust me on this, none of them are good. Anybody who buys a written off fuel framed bike needs to go and take his head for a wobble.
