Not being a facebook or twitter user , how many of us are left on here compared to the other?
And do they have an archive of useful “ how to” etc.

Nothing like that, it's more a place for fairly immediate dialogue and it includes a number of people who constantly refer people to UKBEG if they have a serious technical question.

It exists primarily as a resource to recruit people to this site but has also become a home to those who have become disenchanted with UKBEG for one reason or another

:yt: .. and it's evolution, Maz. FB is immediate, accessible and ubiquitous, and although the forum has served us very well for many years now, the world has changed. I would LOVE the forum to be the same witty, friendly, homely place it was for the first ten years, but those days have passed. :(

You're actually the third newbee from Essex, John. I joined before you, therefore I'm the second newbee!
So Felonious Unlawful Carnal Knowledge-Off back into third place where you belong!

;) I'm john's "Pal" he mentioned, by the way.

Sorry, I have just remembered, that the word 'Asylum' might have a different meaning for you Southern Softies - there are lots of peeps seeking asylum down there, aren't there?

Don't worry about room 87 - we kicked the last inhabitant out to accommodate you. The other guy is now in a tent, in the car park of Black Bear. :yup:

Facebook is great, it is full of very interesting people writing about themselves and giving their view on the world.

Don't laugh, I just read that Roz is off shoe shopping today and Digger has only three months to go before retiring.

On the UKBEG bit we have 1stgarry wanting a flyscreen, someone with electrical gremlins (receiving some questionable guidance), someone wanting to sell their BMW R1100S and get a Uly. I am telling you, it is all happening.
