I changed the transmission oil, the old stuff smelled of gear oil, I refilled with the same 20W50 engine oil as so many seem to suggest is OK. I must say though selecting first gear feels clunkier than with the thick gear oil.
Ooo, you may have clutch slip issues with normal 20/50 in the primary, HD Formula+ is order of the day.

I am concerned about belt stretch or pulley wear. The adjusters only have a few mm left but the belt is slack enough that with light finger pressure the belt touches frame above and below. the swing arm. the belt looks good by all the guides, there is no sign of flaking on the pulley teeth but they are not as smooth as I would expect. I havent counted the teeth yet, maybe the belt or pullie tooth counts are wrong?
Four gearing options are available:
Euro 29/55
US 27/61 (this is the best)
A combination of the above
You may find you have a 27/55 or you may find you have a longer belt. I think the standard belt is 127 teeth.

I repacked that some more using ordinary glass fibre mat ( I have plenty lying about.) Intersting to see how dirty the stuff I put in last week is already. I guess that shows it isnt too tightly packed.
Weapon of choice here is
Acoustafil. Work out what size you need
here, then get it (from the same place) on EBay.

I also tightened up the nuts on the exhaust flanges at the headers, that hopefully will stop some of the popping in the pipes on overun. They are very rusty so thats a Job I do not want to put off too long, new studs, nuts and gaskets.
The studs may break when you take them off. Use Copa-Slip on the threads to ensure the nuts don't seize. Also consider using
K-Nuts which are less likely to fall off.
A TPS reset may help with the popping. Also, check your exhaust gaskets. If it still pops, we can use ECMSpy to tidy it up.

I am loving the bike, just need to get the sub 30MPH fueling sorted, I was stuck behind a police car in traffic during the week, at 28 MPH the great brute of a thing gets so sulky!
US gearing will help here...
