Remember though that if you are talking the full cam cover as in complete case with bushes the cams run in that strictly speaking they are line bored to match their crankcase

Here's the thing.......strictly speaking, you cannot fit a camcover from another bike ie. the RH crankcase and camcover are line bored and reamed as an assembly.
One would like to think that modern manufacturing techniques would result in uniform tolerances......IME, they dont and you'll run the risk of accelerated cam bush wear

so what can i do it needs a new case can i get it machined to match

Yes. You will need to get the bushes replaced in bith the right hand crankcase and cam chest cover and then have them line reamed to match.

I have a cover but the external lip is a bit bent.
