Does the fuel pump run when the key is turned to on?

Nate.

You will know if diesel is in the fuel as it won't completly vap off when some is put on a hard surface.

I checked my reciept....regular "95-oktane" and yes there´s no mistaking the fuel pump is working.

DId a diagnostik and nothing came back wrong and no error codes either. The mechanics here think it might be the starter motor but that doesn't explain why it suddenly went shit and died??

New plugs, hats, checked and re-checked, no water in tank, emptied out and tried with new petrol. Coil leads I don't know how too check, ran a diagnostic through ECM-spy and nothing came up on them but the only thing I can think of now is that it could be the ignition coil? :headbang:

All ways thought the coil would show up as a fault but may be some one could correct me if I'm wrong. GUNTER ?.

Leaking leads would not however as they are still discharging just not at the plug though. Inspect the plug leads for any rubbing, tis a common fault.

Nate :)

I checked the plugs for ignition today and they worked so I guess i can rule out the ignition coil. And the sparkplug cable´s (I'm guessing this is what you mean by leads ) are brand new

.....this summer is really starting too suck

Sorry ist, I nearly missed this :oooops:

How did you test the plugs? Just looking for a spark at atmospheric pressure ain't good enough.
Can you swap with some old plugs to compare running/riding the bike.

Best wishes.

Nate.

Seriously, go get yourself a pair of genuine HDB spark plugs - Buells do not run well on other manufacturers plugs.

Yes I understand but I have a freind that a few weeks ago had his Mille serviced and we just found out one of the new plugs are faulty!
If your fault has occurred since your new plugs we do need to remove them from the picture to elliminate them from the fault etc.

I too had a year old plug pack up on a Ducati ss750 diagnosed by popping an old one in only to have the other pack up the next day before I got two new one's. To say I was shocked would be an understatement!

Good luck.

I'll be getting some for next week, had a ducati a few bikes before this one 750 sport..fun ride but stuff kept falling off it and they forgot the seal at the base of the cylinder at the factory so it spent alot of time in shop.....I no it's a bad word around here but I'm starting to miss the reliability of my Honda cbr 929...it took too crashes and just kept running!!

haven't got the new pluggs yet....don't think I will be having too either, yet, seems that the "rotor-cup" is not moving, made sure that it was properley fastned and it was....so I guess I'm looking at something bigger than new pluggs :headbang:
