I'm new to Buell, I have got a XB9R.

Had it for a few months now, a new colleague of mine who is also a Buell owner pointed me in this direction, so hello all!!

I love my new bike, it is completely different to all other bikes I've had and I've had a fare few....

One thing I'm having a little trouble with is the idle speed, I was told not to have it below 1000rpm as people have reported dropping theirs on takeoff.

What is the best way to getting the idle just right?

Hi Russ welcome to the forum
the idle adjuster is a flex with a knurled bolt head on the end
looks like small black plastic pipe comes out on the left side of the bike
up under the airbox/dummy tank near the airscoop

What colour is your bike - I've seen a black Firebolt around lately but I didn't think 9Rs came in black ?
