hi everyone new to the site and new to a buell just got a xb9r 2003 only done 9000mls are the gears always a bit clunky :?: lOl

Hi there Davey and welcome, yes the gears r like that it was one of my questions when I first got mine. Gears need to be treated with certain amount of respect is what I was told and none of those clutchless shifts.
Where are you based? there are a few Buell guru's dotted around the country that use this site. Maz has been great for me with mine cos I was/still am bit clueless with these thumpers!!

I'm pleased about that ,I thought it was just me! I don't no anyone else with a buell

an oil change for the gear box does make it better
oil is around £7 :yup:
i think Buell service change it every 8k , i used to do mine every 3k
seperate oil in gearbox & engine

A correctly adjusted primary chain (very easy to do) may help smooth out the gear changes.
