Hi all!
I'm a very proud owner of a Buell Ulysses, 2007 model.
This is just my 2nd "real" motorbike, having previously had a Yamaha MT-03 (great toy, little power) which I really do not miss, as the Uly puts a grin on my face at every throttle twist.
I have a question for the other owners, I hope you guys can help:
When I first got my back in Feb, it ran great for 3 days before starting to lose power to then completely die in my hands (bad luck i know). Long story short, the guys at Warr's London found that the ECM had completely screwed up, that the ignitors kept on going even with the ignition turned off causing the oil tank to be flooded with gasoline.
The problem was fixed with a remap and complete clean-up, the bike has been running great ever since... at least I think..
When the engine is cold, and until it's very warm, fast accelerations are a no-go, as the engine would hiccup and sometimes hit proper holes. This only happens to me in 1st and 2nd gear between 1500 and 3500 rpms.
I have installed a breather reroute and the problem has decreased, however I still feel a gap in power delivery within these ranges.
Also, Buells are supposed to have tons of torque, but there is no way in the world that mine would lift its front wheel up from a traffic light...

when I hit 3/4k rpms I feel the push it's meant to have, but not before.
Have you guys experienced this? If yes how did you solve it?
Am I right in thinking that I could benefit from a remap?
Do you know a decent mechanic in London that won't charge £100 p/h (like Warr's)?
ps I also have a Remus exhaust and Powerizer
