to remove the oe exhaust is easy - socket set 13mm / front & rear paddock stand / allen set 5mm / trolly jack to support the exhaust coming off and offering the new one up.

though getting the clamps on the downpipes to the exhaust pipe is key  -

hello mate. would be interested to see how you get on with ecm and k&n.

like you i have a 1125r fitted with a remus end can - no baffles.
i was going to fit a k&n but people tell me it will make the bottom end (under 3k revs) worse than it allready is - i have got use to it but round town in low revs it aint great.
people tell me i need or would be a good idea to have a new ecm to help the fueling especially if i fit new air filter, so would love to no how it effects your running.

which ebr ecm did you get cuz i know he does a few different types?

cheers, martin

Hi, Sotv

sorry it will take a few days before i get a chance to even swing a leg over , far less give it a decent run.
but I will post some feedback when I can.

So because i wanted a new lighter and cooler running exhaust I chose the Barker's as i've mentioned previously and therefore i chose the EBR ecm dedicated to that exhaust for 'pump gas'
They say it all sorts out the bottom end making it smoother and more useable, well so they say.
update soon. :)

they run a lot smoother with an ebr ecm although you lose some engine braking which is weird first time you experiebce it blasting up to a roundabout for example.

i have an hmf mapped ecu together with one of my own exhausts, i only got this ecu as was cheap off of here, will be going to moorespeed on april 28th with avalaugh to do some back to back dyno runs with different ecu's and set ups

Latest update on my 1125R.
decided to contact Carole Nash my insurance company and declare my mods. Slip on exhaust, EBR ECM, and side fairing kit.
......and ??!!
Yup they want the exhaust to be road legal, the exhaust and ecm to give no more than 5% power increase. So as it stands they are checking out Equity Red Star to see if they will cover me. Updated tomorrow about their decision. Not sounding good though.
I have a multi-bike policy, but they say the bike may have to put it on a custom bike policy, yet don't think its unique enough for such a specific policy.
I can see this winding me up! :headbang:

SOTV, were you down in Rye on Sunday ? I saw a CR with a Remus pipe.

Blasted by on the back wheel so you could see my Albert exhaust in all it's glory :)

Hi fellow Buell type persons,
here is my first attempt at uploading a YouTube video of the 1125R with the mods I've recently done to it.

took it out for a very quick ride afterwards, and it was really great, as you would imagine :D

Hope you enjoy

Thank you, but ....
I'm sorry but it always seems to picture and record looking orange, I went to see it thinking it was orange, but it is truly scarlet. Should have been orange and black, would have made sense, in many ways............at the time (09).

Took the 1125R down to Paignton Bike Festival today. Didn't see any other down there, but did see one other Buell parked up.
Saw a few 'Buell' Jackets and T shirts being worn. had a few chats with people about my bike too, funnily enough liked by most people I talked to, 'cept those into Buells :?
... anyway, She sounds great with the Barker's can and car Drivers could hear me beside them and ease to the side, to let me slip by.
A cold windy day down at the shore, but at least it stayed dry. looking forward to the summer now.
Ride safe.

Technically, I won as far as power goes, although the margin was pretty small.
Less than 1/2 hp and the same on torque. The fun part of it is, I do mine in a 2 car garage, not some huge shop with tons of equipment, etc.
Looks like Albert does his the same way, but in an even smaller shed than what I have.
