Hi,
Just joined today. I bought the white X1 off Ebay last week…..and disappointed quite a few people it seems ! It seems better than one has the right to expect of a rash Ebay purchase….and with the race ignition etc no doubt way too fast for me……however. Still waiting for the insurance docs to tax it with, so haven’t actually ridden it yet…..it’s not the sort of thing you can quietly ride around the country lanes regardless of legal status. It seems to be generally in good nick but there is one particularly worrying thing…..front cylinder has an oil leak that appears to come from behind the spark plug in the ‘gap’ in the rocker cover (?). There’s nothing there that could be the source of the leak is there ?!
Don’t suppose there’s a well recommended Buell mechanic in Cumbria ? West Cumbria even ?
Ta.
Keith.

Hi Keith , it may be leaking from the crankcase vent , on the top of the rocker covers
they are on the inlet side , where your right knee is sat on the bike roughly :yup:

It isn't the OEM components used that make it a 'Mazzed' bike, never has been ... its the love, care and attention to detail that make it that way ..... IMHFO. You can buy OEM parts easily enough ... the rest is priceless ...

The Emporium is the best move for your bike and for you to know it too, just don't leave a mess near the kettle!
X1, good move 8-)

Fully Mazzed, half Maz’d ? It’s just good that there is someone dedicated to the marque…..and who is so customer satisfaction oriented. I have taken many bikes to many ‘one-man-bands’ over the years, and the Emporium is the most impressive set-up. And it was a v impressive kettle....which I didn’t go near, honest.
