Hi all, I'm seriously considering selling my 1125R. The main reason is that due to other commitments I simply don't have the time to use my bikes anymore, and hence I haven't been using them, to the extent that I've only been out a handful of times this year. I also have a Z1000, again sitting doing nothing that I might be selling. The other reason for selling is that I'm hoping to buy a camper van and do a serious bit of European touring over the next few years.

The Buell: It's a 2008 model on a 09 plate, bought new as a cash purchase (£7500) from West Coast Harley on 18th September 2009.

The bike is barely run in having covered only 1070 miles.

All the recalls / upgrades have been carried out with associated dealer print outs / paperwork. The bike has what I think is one of the nicest 1125R paint jobs out there (Diablo Metalic). I've added a blue screen and the standard screen (new) is available if anyone doesn't like blue. I've also added axle sliders front and rear and Alberts stainless exhaust turn outs. I have the de-noid resistor sitting in the packet unopened. Obviously the bike is still under warranty for another full year. I have had zero problems with the bike with the only issue being a slight oil weep after its first service from the drain bolt, possibly due to a duff washer as the bike has been fine since WC replaced the washer.

The bike runs and fuels perfectly, even at low revs. It's condition is 'as new' having done so few miles and having been kept in my garage from new. There seriously isn't a single mark on it.

I'm not going to give the bike away as I'm not selling it for financial reasons. It's just eating away at me that it's been sitting there doing very little since new :|

How much? Open to sensible offers. :yup:

Any questions just let me know. The photos below were taken just prior to me buying it, hence the brake line mod not being shown. If you want any recent photos just ask. I'll also fling in a couple of paddock stands if I get a decent price.

Luck? I'm sure it will need more than that for a sale given the state of things. Divine providence perhaps! :D

Perhaps I should ask for a part ex for a well cheap camper van, or buy a big enough camper to carry the 1125! ;)

tba, happy to keep what is practically now a 'one off special'

Was out on the bike yesterday, and no mistaking it's still the business speed and handling wise :)

Met a guy today, at Clarkes Village in Street, who, 3 months ago, bought a 1000 mile (08 model on an 09 plate) 1125R for £3600...

I guess reading is 'not' one of your strong points JBR?

On another note, it's kind o sad that the demise of a marque brings so much ire and negativity out of those supposedly loyal to a particular brand, especially Buell, me included now if truth be told ;)

I'd say selling a 165mph sports bike for less than a 125 smacks of desperation or hardship, I'll keep the bike as a feckin tidy wee living room ornament before I resort to financial desperation, and a damn tidy ornament at that. Imho having owning about every other sports bike over the last 30 years it certainly does the biz adrenaline wise, feck the looks when yer poking the fire as they say :)

At least the last factory take on a Buell (the one that Erik wanted ;)) didn't have that god awful wheezy old push rod limited tractor engine from a stab in the back branding mad, durex selling, frilly nickers and plastic chrome clock on the wall company 'powering' them :D

I've a 32 year old Z1000 that still does the business, so no reason why a Rotax engined bike wont still be here in another 32 years, even if it becomes a bitza. I live in hope of being around then meself :hehe:

Feck, is that the time :old:

keep and store away. As some time in the future in a far away galaxy will fetch good wonga as no longer made, and Will become a sought after item.
Purchased many a Jap bike. CBX 1000, Suzuki GT750, T250, GT380 & 550, Honda NS400R over the years and sold on for a megga profit :D
So purchased a new 1125R and loving it. And with time being on my side, will wait for Eric to produce another?
