After much messing with a new battery (hard starting) and a TPS reset the bike was running well. I have just re-fitted the Powerizer (taken out because of a possible fault with it) and the results are very good. Better idle with less vibs. Better throttle response through the whole rev and gear range. Just better all round. The fueling seems near perfect now.

The question is how does it work. I have yet to see a post that has put a finger on it so I thought that I would put my ten bobs worth in.

The unit wires between the injector plugs and to the green TPS wire. Since it must use the position of the butterfly via the TPS and the signal to the injectors via the ECM is the Powrizer controling the fueling with a new algorithm designed to work with the Remus can, which I am using.

Or am I talking crap

I know, you will hate me for that: http://www.sinus.co.at/ebr_funktion.htm Some f*cking german website again. :headbang: (in fact, it's austrian). Sinus is the inventor of the powerizer.

The powerizer works in open loop only, so no impact on AFV or whatever. In WOT or acceleration (hence the connection to TPS) fuel is added. There's an own map inside the powerizer which tell him when to add how much fuell.

That would make sense of it Gunter as from a logic point it could be no other way. In other words a post remap for the Remus can.

I found a few reports about re-maped sinus modules, which seems to be possible at the manufacturers site. Apparently both, the sinus module and the powerizer, work flawlessly with DDFI-II.

Mine is DDFI-II and it does seem to work very well. I cannot fault the fueling at the moment I just hope it is not an intermittent fault, if there is one, or I will need to use ECM-SPY ;)

How is that oil change going.

PS - Any chance of getting the Sinus info in English. I do not know how they manage to sell the stuff as I can find no info at all

The German explanation of the operation of the Sinus unit translates as follows:

The SINUS EWC is on in the pipes between the engine control unit and the fuel injectors, and connected to the throttle sensor on the motorcycle. This control unit controls the flow of petrol to the injectors: a short operating time = low fuel, long operating time = lots of fuel. The fast processor of the SINUS EWC identified in a fraction of a millisecond, the duty cycle (= subsidized fuel quantity) of the original engine control unit for the fuel injectors and modified this time to the optimum value. This ensures that the engine, regardless of the speed and the load is always powered with a gasoline / air mixture for 100% performance. The corrections of the original control unit for air temperature and air pressure continue to remain effective. Because of Sinus EWC does not affect the distortion of sensor inputs into the original controller, but about "pulse-width modulation".

What I would like to know is it designed to work well with other exhaust systems? Had one on my bike for a couple of days and I was pleased with results but HD inspection said my fueling was all over the place when they tested the next day with it connected. I too felt the benefits of a better throttle response. But I've never understood whether they are all the same (tfi) or exhaust specific?

Hey dude, you are not coming across thick. I don't have a Powerizer on an 08/09/10 bike, so I can't help. Trojan, who sold it to you, should be able to though (assuming you don't get the answer you need here).

I *think* (and someone will correct me if I am wrong) that you have a TPS sensor one side of your throttle body and an idle bypass valve the other. The TPS sensor will have two screws on it, and it *may* look like it could rotate on these screws. In addition, I *think* it should appear to be in line with the butterfly spindle.

Well I fitted a Powerizer briefly to my 09 model. There were 5x cables/wires to connect.

Basically what you see in the photo but without the on/off switch

http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/79.html

The yellow should come with a snap connector you connect to a wire (sorry can't remember which one now) the other 4x connectors connects between the ECM and injectors and thats it!

I'll try and find out what colour that lead connects to?
