Stripped down parts of the X1 and put it back together.

New fork lowers
Polished fork tops and yokes
Polished instrument gauge panel
Cut down cam cover polished
New oil pump gear
Polished rocker covers
New rear light

Everything went back together exactly as it came apart but now the Tacho doesn't work. I have checked the workshop manual but my bike has the fuel injection removed and a Mikuni carb and Crane single fire ignition so the wiring colours are different from the book. I have a spare brown wire that goes to the coil but this was spare before I took it apart. Anyone know the answer to what I've done wrong?

One for :maz: really.

The MoFoCo seems to like PINK for tacho feeds. I know from other places that sometimes the PULSE from an ECM and standard coil have to be attached in reverse.

http://www.xborgforum.de/forum/album_pi ... ic_id=6329 shows the standard signal provided by the ECM. Seems to me that if you are using waste spark single fire, you could use an inverted coil signal (... limited to 5V)
