Right, been trying to set-up the throttle cables as a while ago they had come loose.

Is there a special way to do it ? i'm having trouble !!!!

I have been doing it with the airbox removed, and all seems fine, nice and smooth. reassemble, all still fine, go for a ride and then the throttle seems to stick and not spring back ?

I have lubed the cables as well.

Just had a thought whilst writing this, the black plastic lock rings on the adjuster, which way do they lock ? up against the switchgear (to the right) or against the plastic adjuster (to the left) ? i have mine to the left. Maybe thats what iv'e been doing wrong.

Some help please :)

Went out again today and seems better, then i thought about what had changed since i got the bike, exhaust, traction grips, pazzo levers, all these are fine.

Then i changed my gloves for my summer ones and there is was, the feeling that i was missing was back, my winter gloves had so much padding etc the feedback was getting lost in translation.

Time for some different gloves :)

When you put your bars on full lock, do your cables get tight?

Mine rub against the fairing mount on full R/H lock. I've sleeved the cables and put some clear plastic on the mount to preserve the paint. No extra slack to pull through.

Glad it's not just me... At least it is not at bad as my mates TS50X, where he turned the bars and the bike revved right up...

Had an issue with my XB12Ss when it was new. Took it back to the local dealer several times (Warranty) to get the cables routed properly. They eventually tie wrapped the cables to the engine breather boss, seemingly unaware of how much the rubber mounted motor moves. The result was a broken breather :tosser: . They eventually gave me some Ully cables which I shortened and routed correctly.
I no longer use this dealer :tosser:

I've had the same problem to but on an XB12Scg and found that the problem area was behind the screen, so re connected the wiring within this area so that the throttle cables do not tug or deflect the wiring.

Seems to have improved the throttle return a bit but they could have made up the cables with an extra 1" in my view.
