After a long run I am getting a quite loud tapping/ticking sort of noise from around the front exaust port. I'm thinking tappet or leaking exhaust manifold.
Its kind of there when I start the bike when cold but I thought it was the sound of the gasses pinging inside the header.

Ive blocked the end of the pipe off and its doesnt seen to exaggerate the noise.

Is this normal for these engines.only had the bike a couple of weeks.

Not when the engine is running.

Anyhow, I've since found that the header is loose inside the exhaust port when levered slightly with a pry bar, so I'm pretty sure its a blowing exhaust gasket.

Its now booked into the shop where I bought it for a warranty repair.

Have a close look at the exhaust studs once the repair is done. Potential for a very bodged repair if they snap.
