Before you ask, I've been on the T5 Forum but with no luck
I've got an '08 T5 diesel van with a remapped ECU (now it's very fast and grunty

) but I was bit late for a Trial this morning and started it without giving it a few secs for the glow plugs to warm up. It started and ran a treat for a few miles in slow traffic but when I booted it to get past a line of tourists off to the sea side, it lacked a lot of power and I could only wind it up to about 70mph in 'limp' mode. It wasn't the weight of the bike in the back, because it's knitted from Helium

No ECU light was showing, so I turned it off and started it again, and all was fine. I'm just a bit concerned about it happening again.
The MAP sensor was clean as a whistle, the DPF is clean and I've stripped the EGR valve just incase that wasn't operating, hoses aren't split and electrical plugs have been pulled and wiggled

All seems fine?
Any ideas about the cause from the UKBEG collective?
......and will I have to take to a VAG dealer to check for stored fault codes, or will a code reader as used by the village garage be specific enough?
