In OZ yeah , over there I wouldn't bother .

I have one fitted with a thermostat and it hardly ever comes on line,only on a very very hot day stuck in traffic
I changed the engine oil yesterday and was tempted to take it off altogether.
Saying that though the Fuellers all have them and a fan !!!!
I also have the Metchamex alloy oil tank fitted with the extra capacity and i reckon that does the job on it's own.

Alloy tank has to be one of the best oil coolers I've come across. It was so beautiful though, I kept it on my desk just to look at for a couple of weeks, broke my bleeding heart to fit it

As a point of interest, the standard oil filter is actually the 'long' one. The extra-long one is the one you want.
Mine have always been black.

I have a Jagg already fitted, but it is ugly and messy. I want the confidence to take it off (even though my XB has one)...

Don't you need it for your X1?
