What jetting and settings are people running on their Tubers with a mikuni carb fitted :?:

What
main jet
pilot jet
air screw position
needle type
needle position
accelerator jet nozzle size

I have tried a few settings and can't really tell any difference :|

I don't think this has been really covered and would be interesting to see
what you are all running :geek:

I think that the attraction of the (Buell specific) Mikuni 42 is that you just bolt it on and it works. I guess that most owners have been pleased with the performance of theirs straight out of the box and haven't had to inspect them too closely.

This is what i have ended up with

main jet #160
pilot jet #25
air screw 2 1/4 turns out
needle type 96 on clip #4
accelerator jet #60

This seems to suit my bike

Wow, completely different to the link I sent you (wasn't saying it was right BTW).

Maybe we should document your findings...

How did set it up by the way? Dyno? Plug chop? Arse dyno?

Pash your link was for the HSR 48 carb so is a bigger carb to my HSR 42 which is fitted to my bike

The standard HSR42 (for Buell) kit comprises

160 main
20 pilot
97 needle

Is my understanding from previous conversations I have had with those who would know :maz: :D

That's interesting,keep em coming

A #20 pilot might explain why i'm 2 1/4 turns out at my #25 pilot (my kit came with a #30 pilot  )
I do have a spare 97 needle and a #20 pilot

What does :maz: reckon

My carb came with a #70 accelerator pump jet and that seemed way too much too
