I have just purchased EBC replacement pads for my '97 S3. Part No FA173 and have now realised that the pad next to the piston does not have a locating spring (that fits into the piston hollow) like the EBC pads Part No FA251 I have used Carbonne Lorraine pads without this spring in the past. Whilst it appears to be safe, there is just that nagging doubt.............

It'll be just fine......springs usually break anyway Personally, I'd upgrade to a Nissin caliper |
