Afternoon All

My bikes got its MFK (MOT) tomorrow and I know its fine apart from the front disc that's juddering. Is removal of the disc easy or am I likely to end up using a few swear words. I don't have an impact driver!!

Alternatively will sanding the disc work enough get through the test or some other type of brake pad to try and clean it. Currently been using the ones from Braking.

Any ideas warmly welcomed.

Are all of the bolt points flexing freely, to allow movement with just a thumb push?

How old/worn are the pads? Some have experienced brake judder fix by fitting new pads, and it appears that the effect is due to the new pads wearing off any deposits on the disc.

I never needed an impact driver to remove the front rotor fasteners, but I got a quality bit for that task.

Just put some Goldfrenn pads in for 10 miles...

If you don't get Goldfren, you could also use any real high-temp race pad, but use them in a way, that they do not reach operating temperature. Then these pads remain abrasive and do not start to build a layer of pad material on the rotor.

Goldfrenn just cos they are hard. Not saying stick with them, just use em to get rid of the deposits...

Thanks for the offer pash but no need. I can get them but the test was yesterday and in the end it failed on other stuff. Head bearings, front tire and the Remus is to loud, 103dB!!! They didn't. even mention the brakes.

I spent an hour sanding the disc and then put some new Buell pads in that I had. Kinda improved but at high speed it still judders.
