The x1 has started to act up again, first off i noticed the tickover hanging when warm, slowly dropping and stalling if i dont keep on the throttle, it seems to have got worse with stumbling below 3000 rpm.
borrowed a laptop as mine had gone tits up, plugged in and noticed the AFV is 86%, so its running rich ?, starts and runs great while warming up but when up to around 160 degrees it starts to hang on tickover of around 2000rpm, slowly dropping back and stalling if i dont keep on the throttle or turn up the adjuster screw.
Resetting the afv and tps makes no diffrence, tried without the air filter, no change.
engine temp rises steadily as does the iat. plugs are the same colour(normal.
Doing a search on the net surgests leaking intake seals but would this raise the afv. again i am at a loss
Any idea anyone ?

If it is intake seals you'll notice the difference in the revs if you spray wd40 on them whilst it's ticking over ;-)

Cheers, i'll try the hard reset,
The butterfly feels/looks closed at 0 tps,and goes to 100 at WOT.
When viewing the fuel maps live in ecmspy, the 4 tickover cells(tps 10,20, rpm 800,1000) are shaded and alternating but the crosshairs are showing a higher tps value of 30/40 tps at the same 800, 1000 rpm. Seems odd to me.
Done a couple of tps resets, one cold and one hot, and i have checked the price
i have tried with the wd40,no change in rpm I'll give it a go with some propane. would leaking seals give a high afv ?
my first though was sticking injectors, might stick some cleaner through them. also a high price :bandit:

Did a tps hard reset, no change but did notice the wire insulation on one wire into the tps seemed to have shrunk leaving a wire bare, insulated it with sikaflex.
Turns out it was the connector for the lambda causing the problem, the pin was a loose fit in the plug inside the connector. ego volts were jumping all over the place. soldered the wires together. Back to 100% AFV :D .
