Hi,
I have a quill exhaust that id like to fit to my 06 ulysses...
could someone point me in the right direction, as to any other mods. i should carry out to the bike, to make sure it runs correctly with this pipe..?? also, should i unplug the servo. which operates the valve in the OE exhaust, or just remove the cable ??
Thanx.

The local tip is waiting for the Quill. If you're lucky, you might find a mug to buy it off you but it's unlikely to be a member from here I'm afraid.

do not fit the quill under any surcumstances - i had a quill and the outlet end cap came off while i was on the motorway- and going on your front wheel at 70 was not a fun place to be - your better just takin out the servo cable for a easy exhaust mod to your stock exhaust and remapping your ecm and kit a k&n - far better and the bike will run better

i found the quill had the noise but no go- but doin the above the bike has more mid

Just to add to the tales of woe, I've had 1st hand dealings with Quill cans (on other peoples bikes) and you really will be doing yourself a favour if you throw it in the bin. If you want to pass on the misery, stick it on Ebay. I've seen the complete back section blow out of them, I hate to think what would've happened to my mate if it had gone under his wheel in a bend

It's a bit sad really, they're a north west based company near-ish to me and they're making bits for bikes. I can't knock that because I get sick of seeing all these websites flogging german and italian made stuff sometimes at crazy assed prices. I wish more british co's made stuff, but not crap stuff like Quill seem to make. And even sadder than that, there's been folk queuing up from here to give them sound, free advice. But they will not listen.
