Hello All,
My 1125R decided to have an impromptu barbecue last week. The Voltage Regulator literally went into melt down.
I have read with interest past posts about fixing the issue but wondered if there is a general consensus on the best repair route.
As far as I can see, the wiring looks in tact although I haven’t stripped the heat shield around the wires.
Can I ask if in your opinions the will stator definitely be fried? Is that what causes the VR meltdown.
I have now got a copy of the Electrical manual and was going to test the stator output. If that shows OK on the 3 phases, do you think the stator will be OK?
Any feedback or pointers to previous preferred threads would be greatly appreciated and apologise if I am raking over many old coals. I would love to keep this rare beast running.
I am in the Leeds area if anyone has suggestions of anywhere or anyone that specialises.
