Post subject:  Warning about German bike trader

Hi, I would like to warn anybody selling bikes to a German Bike Trader who goes under the name of Dimmini be wary of him, he won the bid for my STT on Ebay, he arranged to pick it up from Newcastle only to cancel and ask if it would be possible for me to deliver to Lincoln H-D where he would be buying other bikes the following weekend. We agreed that we would meet between 9-10am on the Saturday morning. I arrived at 9am only to find that he had left 1hr earlier without even a mention to the sales people. I tried to contact him only to find it was his GermanShop number, he had my mobile but didn't have the courtesy to get in touch either. That episode cost me time and money. He has said that he would buy it next time he's in the country but I'm not holding my breath and all Ebay wanted me to do is keep a good relationship with the member - some help they are!

In my experience the Germans are honest and reliable, and I have had nothing but positive experiences dealing with Sven, who is known on here as Hotrodder.
In fact as Sven is over here at the moment, if you PM me this Dimmini's details I will ask if Sven knows anything about him. Did you take a deposit from him?

Is Dimmini a Greek or an Eastern European name?

I had the same experience a couple of years ago with a German buyer from this forum. You don't have much of a choice Joe when the buyer appears genuine, but then they let you down and they don't appreciate the inconvenience it causes. Maybe this is the status quo in Germany and all Germans are c**ts? Who knows :D

This guy bought my 1125CR in june.
Said he would be over on the Saturday, turned up with the cash, no hassles no fuss he had also bought four other Buells which he had two in the van and two on the trailer.
I don't think he's a bad'n ;)
