Am I missing something here? It looks to me like you have come up with a solution to a problem that doesn't exist? your "quick release" brake line must need bleeding when swapped over, right? this must take longer than undoing the 2 bolts that hold the calliper on and then removing the wheel?

I have a mate from Ollerton, (Newark postal area), who did the same sort of things to a perfectly good Ducati 900SS, double plugged the cylinder head, then found out the plugs were in the way of the cam shaft belt drive, so he then re-routed the cambelt by attaching three bearings to a bolt, fitted them side by side so they were rubbing together....

Converted it from a perfectly wonderful Ducati to a dangerous pile of scrap in hours.....

The quick release fittings don't need bleeding when you refit, but surely the caliper has to come off anyway :?: :?

I use a bit of string to hold the caliper out of the way.

I use those fittings all the time at work on quick change tooling etc.

What I don't understand is, what's the rush?
