oh well!! done 200 miles ( thought I was doing well ) and the old X1 has broken down. going along fine then lost all revs then cut out. Think it maybe fuelling problem (and yes I filled up 5 miles before). Can hear it wear up when when ignition switched on. Engine cranks but no fire. There is spark at the plugs. Any suggestions??? One other thing whats the buzzing sound when engine is swithced off and key out...comes on every few minutes for a few seconds?? |

check your fuel,( been there, done that. Make sure your battery is fully charged and cables are tight (including the +ve on the starter motor). where is the buzzing coming from, possible short ? or a trapped insect I had the bank sensor fail on mine, the bike just cut out while riding. It can be turned off in the ecm with ecmspy to rule it out. Check relays, fuses and make sure your earths are clean/secure. |

clutch and stand switches bypassed by connecting together the two wires leading to each switch. |

Think I may get away with just buying the actual cone filter (£40) to the assembly thats aready on. but would be nice to have all new shiney stuff. will get a photo on here when I figure out how to do it and have stopped sweating from pushing bike home

IMO the number one thing to have with a Buell is recovery on your insurance. Trust me your going to need it sooner or later. |
