Will the brake and clutch levers from the 09-10 XBs fit the earlier 03-08 models? I ask as I'm trying to order some CRG type levers off the net and the manufacturers only list levers from 09-10 XB Buells and 08-10 1125s. They claim that they'll fit my 06 XB9, but I want to be sure.

All XB levers are the same.

BTW, you have a PM

Pash, sorry to contradict you, BUT the brake levers are different from 2009/2010 models as they went to the 8 piston caliper on the front and changed the front master cylinder.

The clutch lever is the same across all years though.

Hmm, not all 10 models have an 8 piston caliper, for example the 12SX does, but the 12XT doesn't.

And besides, even though the master cylinders changed, I thought the levers were the same. The CRG lever for my XB12R fitted my 1125R. Maybe I was mistaken (quite possible)

Well s_m, I think you are right. I have checked the Pazzo and CRG websites and it looks as if the lever for the 8 piston caliper equiped bikes is the same as the tubers. If the Pazzo listing is to be believed, then if you use an XB lever with the above, there is about 1.5mm clearance between the lever heel and the master cylinder piston. No big deal in itself. If you use a lever from an 8 piston caliper equipped bike (or tuber) on a 6 piston caliper equipped bike, you will depress the piston by 4mm or so, rather than about 1mm.

I did some experiments once with the XB and the S1 and a "Tuber" CRG lever.
