Can anyone tell me what the optimum engine oil temperature is (when hot) for my X1 please?

something over 100 degrees c is needed to boil off any water (from condensation) in the oil :yup: it should be noted the oil tank temp is a little lower than the engine oil temp within the motor itself, if you live in the UK you probebly dont need an oil cooler, if you insist get one with a thermostat so it doesnt work most of the time
