Can any one of you proud 1125CR owners please help.
I want to know the measurement beteen the ends of the centre part of your ace bars.
I would like to fit a pair of these to my XB but need to be sure of the space between the ends of the straight bars. any other measurement would help. see this

the measurement required is marked by white lines.
Cheers Guys

Hi Softley the measurement you want is 9"1/2" to tip of ace bars (240 mm)

Hi Softley,

can you keep us updated on this, I'd be interested in doing it as well if it's reasonably straightforward :P

You realize it won`t have the sexy looks of a cr by fitting only the ace bars :uhoh:

After further research (I looked closly at my own pictures of the CR bars) I can confirm a couple of minor issues.
A/ the XB set up means that the clamp for the bars is lower than the fork tops and therefore you need to use at least 1" risers to be able to fit flat or ace bars.
B/ (this is a corker) the CR bar clamp area is 29mm and the XB clamps are 22mm so we would need to fit a riser kit that converts from 22 to 29mm.
I have not finished yet but need to find away around the above first.

£158 for conversion from from 22 to 29mm from Trojan  bugger me thats a bit OTT IMHO.

I assume the the size is 29mm on the CR it is bigger but i have not measured it.

I rode an 1125CR with the Ace bars on and I could not get on with it at all, wrong angle for me. When I had Ace bars on my FSI-E and 350LC (with clock protector - Pro-Am bars I think they were known as) they had more of a drop angle (sorry, dont know how to describe it better).

Why not get an 1125R (or Firebolt) top yoke and bars?

BTW, why are they called Ace bars? Ace Cafe? Just a thought...

Still got them on my LC! I always knew them as Ace bars.
