had to take my xb forks off to cure a leak i gave them to a local mechanic to do,when i picked them up he told me one leg had nice clean oil in it but the other had what looked like dirty oil in it this is 5,000 miles after a harley dealer had claimed to have done them during a regular service how have harley lasted so long when you read just on this forum what bad service people have had?.

a harley davidson mechanic once told me if people can afford to have their bikes serviced here ,they are going to get their bum smacked !

Sounds like the mechanic was halfway through the job come Friday lunchtime, then had a pint and a pie and forgot to finish the job. Easily done...
