I sent my buell race can off to be cam coated. Just got the bill back and they are wanting £147 for it. Their website stated starting from £35.
Anyone else think this is kinda of pricey or is this the normal price?

I think i would query why it is so much higher than their website led you to believe .........it sounds like their site is misleading to say the least..........even bordering on dishonest.

To be fair the website says from £35, did you not get a quote before you sent the Exhaust off to have the work done ... ?

Have the asked for more that the quote they provided ... ?

Cam Coat are good people to deal with, sure they haven't coated internally, as well as externally, as this would increase the cost, would definately query with them.

I was quoted £92 + postage (£30 odd quid one way) in March this year for a XB race can. Too much for a finish that is little better than the original. I reckon putting aside a few hours each year to clean it up and repaint is a better idea.
.....or if you are a year round rider......buy something stainless!

My ceramic coated headers are 10 years old and still polish up OK.

Yes, but it is the can that gets all the road crap thrown at it. I've got no problem with Camcoat, they did my S2 can, but a coated mild steel silencer fitted between the wheels is never going to look good for long unless it only comes out on dry days.
I could see that my S2 silencer wasn't going to stay looking good for long so I stuck a V&H on it a couple of years ago.

It was £100 to have my downpipes done and they wanted £60 to have the can done.
That's plus VAT.
