Daring to post something technical! The plugs on my Uly had to be changed to "Hotter" ones early in to my ownership Nov/Dec 05' due to it running on one cylinder. I'm no expert but I'd lean toward there being a couple of option down to your particular application

Why bother ?.......HD plugs are cheap as chips and do the job just fine.

Beware that the NGK catalogue lists the wrong heat range for Buells ie. equivalent of 10R6 plugs.

1125 engine uses NGK as standard.

:yup:

Paying £25 a plug, for some, is not so much "Out of the Blue as out of you Mind". But then again so what if that is what people want. It is there money to spend.

I was trying to keep :shut: to do my part in letting the thread wither away, but I have to ask: are NGK iridiums really that expensive in the UK? I priced them out at $7 US per plug at one of the local auto parts stores (9EIX sumpin er udder item number for the '06 Ss). I don't think they make one bit of difference in how the bike runs.

So that's why I had to file the good old N9Ys down. :headbang:
