Le JOG on electric bike ? ..bit too mad

That sounds like a challenge to me!...but I'm "barking" anyway ;) lOl
Now...if only someone that needed to promote such a "mad" project and was willing to donate a bike that was "the best quality, most functional, easy to maintain, built from the ground up"....I'd do it! lOl

It has to be said that we are lagging behind other countries in Cycle initiatives. They can’t even carry out basic maintenance in our town. Sustrans sponsored a number of ride to work routes nationwide several years ago. With that we built a cycle bridge over the Wye near Hereford at a cost of £1.25 million.....happy days. Now the Council are probably too busy upgrading staff home computers so they don’t need offices and still paying chef execs 6 figure salaries!

Maybe you could get Boris onto a Fuell? lOl That might stir up some interest.....or perhaps not! :hehe:
Joanna Lumley or Gabby Logan? Julia Bradbury might be a better bet? ;)

I've seen that site and the price is in pretend money - I'm after proper money prices, you know, Pounds Sterling.

Euro=GBP after import duties, shipping costs etc...so the Flluid in the UK costs a RRP of 5.5K, although the stock I currently hold will be 5K each.

Best of luck with the new venture, commuter bikes are not really my thing,
I have an e bike, a haibike full sus with fox suspension and 7" travel either end which does me
As well as roadie bikes and other mountain bikes.
The Fuell may be seen as a little too out there t the moment, the cycling brigade seem to shy away from anything too
Revolutionary.
Honda made a mid mounted gearbox driven downhill bike early-mid 2000's, won the world cup
and then they dissappeared again, but was never for sale.
I made a Titanium framed mid mounted gearbox (g-boxx) downhill bike around 2008
The gearbox didn't catch on then and still hasn't even though the first thing
to get ripped of a downhill bike is quite often the rear mech, go figure.

Maz your knowledge and skillset as an engineer are well known and respected. Marketing is a whole different ball game.

I don't know if you have approached Steve Loxton for any tips. He has a wealth of knowledge in that side of the game, albeit with motorbikes as you know.

My business acumen is pretty non existent but there must be others within the group with such experience. It's all about networking etc apparently, but you have chosen quite a niche market, and brand, to start on in quite a challenging time.

Good luck, they look an interesting product, and despite the price seeming eye watering to me, I do know lads that spend as much and more on ordinary bikes; well maybe a bit extraordinary.

Yes, had many a chat with Mr.Loxton.
These bikes are extraordinary and a lot cheaper than other ebikes in its class and non of them are as well spec'd !

Looking at this site shows the prices are all in that area or higher. I hadn't realised they were that sort of money. https://www.e-bikeshop.co.uk/Electric-Bikes-UK-Dealer

you will also have to register the Fluid as a moped because it has more than the legal limit of power allowed for e-bikes in the UK

If that is the case...if its registered as a moped, does it not then have to carry a registration plate?

I've seen them close up and they are absolutely top notch, stunning build quality and equipment as standard 8-)
