Post subject:  Paint rubbed off frame under the seat XB
Hi fellas,

Took the XB9 up Scotland this weekend, and strappped on some Oxford panniers on the bike, I have used them before without problems, but this time with all the rain and crap off the road it has made a mess of the grey frame bit under the seat.

I had a look and it looks a simple enough job to remove and get painted, is this the case?

Does anyone know if the part is powder coated or just painted, I have no idea?

Can the part be purchased new from Harley, save me painting it, does anyone know, before I ring the clueless folk at the dealer.

Yep, my Buell soft paniers mark the underseat frame rail on my '9' as well :roll:

I haven't got a clue why either! :lol:
