Hi all, I've owned my XB12S for about 6 weeks now and am loving it.
The only problem I have is staining on the frame. I think I found the source when doing the breather mod, a leaking grommet on the forward cylinder - where the breather pipe goes into the cylinder through the plastic angle.

I've got a post going on another forum, but am looking for as much help as I can get on removing the staining.

A picture might help, but I can't work out how to put one on :-) doh!
so please look at the pics on the other site and let me know how to get them on this one please......

Really hope someone can help.

Never seen that site before... Nice...

Try T-Cut.

Don't worry can happen to any one.
I have even suffered before now!
Tis nothing to be ashamed of and some counselling can really help.

There are loads of incontinence products available and very discreet too.

Hope this helps :D

As for engine breathing juices, they can contain some acids and I have no answers apart from maybe try some T cut else where out of view and see how goes.

Oops apears my reply is out of date!

Nate.

I've tried G3 but not G14, I've also had a quick go with T-Cut....
I'll spend a little more time on it after I've changed the grommet - but please keep the suggestions coming :-)

,,,you will have to do the entire swinger Kitfox, but it should take out the surface staining, it is a lot more forgiving than T-cut

That looks like it could be from the same family as the Novus / Aero Shell stuff used for the plastics...

Petrol or meths or brake and clutch cleaner might be worth a try

Afternoon Kitfox. Do you actually own a rather splendit Kitfox flying machine ;) ? Lovely aircraft to fly 8-)

Be careful with that 'other' Buell forum, some of the Tech advice is very misinformed ;)

I owned a Kitfox for about 2 years, I now have an Avid Speedwing, which is lovely apart from the Jabiru 2200 engine. I fly from a private strip just outside of Bath. I also enjoy paragliding! Do you fly?

Thanks for advice on 'other' site :-)

Yep, Mrs Adam and me have Group A and M and we both held Instructor ratings for Paragliding and Hang gliding. In a moment of madness I also owned a couple of Paramotors but gave them up as a shite idea

I want a Harrier. One flew over work the other day to celebrate 50 years of the engine

It came straight for us quite low, then banked left before circling round and landing over the road, I felt like I was in Top Gun and wanted to spill my coffee down my shirt and say "Goddam it Maverick" 8-)
