Post subject:  Nearly there

I got a bit of a telling off on this forum for buying a nearly standard 96 S1 , but Ive been busy and listened to certain Gurus on this forum, the list so far, seat reworked as it was like a suppository, Genuine Mikuni carb, X1 swing arm, EBC Pro Lite disc, X1 isolators, upgraded primary chain tensioner, lucky hands oil pump drive gear, XB12 heads, 2 1/2" race headers, with upgraded dogbone mount, Billet front mount, and finally one of the Race pro pipes obtained through this forum, I also lined the tank with Caswell., the jurys still out on changing my shock as I have heard mixed reports. The bike now goes, stops and sounds good , thanks for all the help and advice from this forum.

Be interesting to see how long the caswell lasts :P

Used it in two metal bike tanks and used flowliner in Landrover tank.

I'd get it changed...it's a "recall" shock anyway ;)

I'm pretty sure mine has never been replaced, is it still possible that HD would honour the recalls, not that I plan on fitting it on any time soon but it might be good to have :?:

What mixed reports on the shock have heard? Some snap at the neck and some don't? lOl It should've be sorted under a recall.

I'm not too sure they would honour the recall, mine was done 15 years ago and took LOTS of enquiries led by Alan (1203) who worked for Buell HD

Think he means the ongoing debate over the merits of an AST ?
