No such thing as a 2005 Uly, the first model year was 2006. |

That said, not uncommon to see between 2500-5000 depending on how good that condition is, records of service kept and farkles and other loose extras. An X without hard cases won't get you as much for instance. I'd personally pass on it without luggage. In fact, Buell luggage period, has lots of value, especially inner case halves for tube models. |

I can see where your coming from Bob. 2006 models would have been launched in late 2005. The Ulysses was launched in July 2005, but if that makes it a 2006 model than so be it, but mine was registered in 2005 so it is 15 years old. I can't advertise it as 14 just to suit the model year. I'll get it listed once I've had chance to polish it and see what interest there might be. Cheers Richard. |

RE the cases, I have a brand new 3 box set with rear carrier never been on the bike apart from being fitted to have photos taken for a for sale advert, stored in boxes in my loft, I offered them on here last year and didn't have any serious offers, perhaps I should try again. |

Probably other misleading registrations as well. |

I think production of 2006 models started in August 2005 and that was typical. My 06 XB9SX was built in Dec 05, but it had obviously been sat in Riders of Bristol for a while and was not sold until l took delivery in Jan 07 with the usual 12 test miles. ![]() |

And if you were to sell it edd, you'd advertise it as 2007 as when it was first registered, like mine as 2005. Richard. |

Maybe, but I would say that it was an 06 model anyway as DEC 05 is clearly stamped on the frame plate , even though it now has 07 plastics, 07 belt and 07 muffler, and because l would not sell it now. ![]() Fool that l am, I could have had an 05 model XB12s off the same showroom floor for the same money that l paid for my 9, but having read up on the 06 improvements, l wanted all those things especially the improved gearbox. ie the first XB9 Lightning l rode in 2003 had such a stiff gearbox it hurt my foot after 10 minutes riding. When l rode a well used 03 a few years later (a yellow one at Blades near Oxford) it was as slick as anything, if a bit loose in the barrels! ![]() |
