Did some minor dismantling today just to have a look around (I can’t help it!). Glad I did as I found that the mesh on the inside of the air filter is rusty and also found this blanking plug on the throttle body was perished and split, almost certainly would have been causing a minor air leak. Luckily I had some left over bits that come with a set of Diesel injector leak-off pipes. One fitted just dandy. Need to put a wee shopping list together as I want to buy a service kit, a panel screw that I discovered to be missing and also a sprung belt tensioner. Are there any specialist parts shops associated with the forum? https://flic.kr/p/2j7oiVp https://flic.kr/p/2j7oovm P.S. Can anyone advise me about posting pics hosted by Flickr? I get a forum message in red saying ‘It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct But, if I copy the URL for the picture as above, the forum accepts it no problem? |
