Has anyone used one of the rear shock absorbers that Twin motorcycle sell on a Tuber as they seem quite a reasonable price, what the opinion. https://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/ ... 0456&s=&a=

Fitted one to a customers bike, he now wishes he'd spent the extra on an AST or Penske......it was too short, has no remote reservoir and the damping was shit !

Just be aware that there is a high proportion of not very happy AST shock owners out there (ask at the other place). I am not one of them, fortunately, but I 100% wouldn't buy an AST shock.

mine (XB12X) came with a Wilbers 630 on it - seems good bit hard at moment as previous owner set up for pillion and luggage

Thanks but it is very limited on the S1 as it works on tension rather than compression .

I had the AST fitted by MAZ last year superb bit of engineering

Biggest issue with AST is they are too firm on the damping even on minimum setting so they can be a bit harsh on rough roads.
